Hi everyone. I hope there are some of you who remember, or even have the casio vl-1 keyboard and calculator which was designed in 1981 until 1985 I think. It's a mini synthesizer with 5 sounds, 10 rhythms, and something else that is defined as the a d s r voice that when you type 8 digits on calculator mode you go back to the adsr voice and the keyboard plays sounds. It also have a sequencer and a little cheesy demo song. I'm trying to by one of these little synthesizers from ebay but I'm very often outbid by other users. If anyone of you have one of these keyboards, please let me know about it and I'd be really glad if you could sell it to me. There are not enough of these on ebay. And another detail. The band trio from germany based there famous song dadada on this little instrument. They used one of the rhythms and the piano sound.
Thanks very much for your help.

! I was always jealous of friends that got those beauties. Te sounds were piano, flute, violin, and fantasy...There were actually only 4 sounds, and it had a few little rhythms. The sounds were selected by a 4-position switch, and to start a rhythm, you pressed a little button, then a key on the keyboard, and they'd start to play! I remember the demo song, too!

Hi jess. apart from these 4 sounds you mention there is also the guitar sound. To prove it, There's a video on youtube that someone demonstrates the casio vl-1 and he plays all the sounds together with guitar. They all are unrealistic sounds and rhythms but I'll never stop loving this little synthesizer and I'll never stop searching desperately to find it.
Cheers.
